Maryland based Christian artist Iryne Rock has released her much anticipated single “What Love Is.” This comes a few months after the launch of her worship EP, Grateful. Inspired by 1 John 4, “What Love Is” blends Iryne’s passionate and powerful vocals with deeply driving instrumentations for a sound nearly as compelling as the grace that inspires it.
“These verses describe Gods love with a mandate, that we also love one another”, shares Rock. “I want listeners hearing the song for the first time or hundredth time to feel joyful, rejuvenated and most of all loved by God because he embodies the meaning of love and that is “What Love Is.”
The song was recorded and produced in Nashville, TN by Billy Smiley, and is accompanied by a music video shot on location in California by Smash Cut Films
ABOUT THE SONG
“What Love Is” was inspired by 1 John 4. This scripture talks about how God showed his love, by loving us first and sacrificing his Son for us. These verses also describe God’s love with a mandate, that we love one another. Love is such a popular theme in music, that it has been visited and revisited in probably all genres. I want listeners hearing the song for the first time or hundredth time to feel joyful, rejuvenated and most of all LOVED by God because He embodies the meaning of love and that is “What Love Is”.
